All Red Diamond Vulcan Cup Teams:

Please review your schedule on-line.  This will be the official schedule.  Program schedules went to press two weeks ago and, since then, changes may have been made to your schedule.

  1. You can receive text messages of scores in any division directly to your cell phone or computer.  Sign up as follows:  Go to our website at www.vulcancup.com.  Click the Schedules and Scores tab.  You will find a box in the center of the page titled “Tournament News and Scores on your Cell Phone” click on this link and follow the instructions.  Please encourage all your parents to sign up for this service.   Official Results are only available on-line.  Any scores posted at the fields are unofficial.
  1. There will be a $5.00 per car and $20.00 per Bus/RV parking charge for a weekend pass at Rathmell Park and SportsBlast.  Parking passes are available at the fields.  Correct change will be appreciated.
  1. CHECK-IN REMINDERS. Managers don’t forget to bring the following items to check-in Friday night, March 11 at the Marriott Birmingham.  This hotel is located at 3590 Grandview Parkway on Highway 280.  Check-in will be from 6:00 -10:30 p.m. No early check-in allowed.  All Tournament Forms are available on our website under Forms/Rules.  PLEASE NOTE:  Items (c) and (d), below, are different forms.

a.  2 copies of your team’s roster along with any guest players forms required by your State.  Make sure you have jersey number on your roster.  Do not present your original State or US Club issued roster.  We will be marking on your roster.

b. Travel Permit (Regions 1, 2 and 4 teams) and/or Intent to Travel Form (Region 3 teams).  Not required for US Club teams.

c. Medical Forms.   This form is supplied/required by your State Association or US Club to authorize emergency medical treatment.  This form does not need to be notarized.  One per player.   

d. Player Release Forms.  See Vulcan Cup website for form. One per player. 

e. Player and Coaches Passes.  Each pass must be current, have a picture and be signed.

f. Contact/Lodging Information.  See Vulcan Cup website for form.  One per team.

Rathmell Park - Info

To:  Managers of all teams playing at Rathmell Park

VERY IMPORTANT:  Please pass along the following information to your team parents.  Rathmell Park is located in a residential neighborhood and is accessed by a relatively narrow street.  Compliance with the following rules will assure ready access to the park by parents, players and emergency personnel and will avoid potential conflicts with neighbors and law enforcement agencies.

  1. SPEED LIMIT is 20 and 25 M.P.H. (Observe posted limits) Assume your speed will be monitored.  We do not want your Vulcan Cup experience to be marred by a ticket.
  2. OBEY STOP SIGNS.  See above.
  3. NO PARKING OUTSIDE PARK GATE.  There is only one way in and out.  Emergency vehicles must have free access.  The street is wide enough for two-way traffic, but not wide enough for parking as well.  This is a safety issue.
  4. We share the park with the city’s Public Works Department.  DO NOT park in front of their fuel pumps.  DO NOT park in the designated fire lanes.  You will be ticketed.

There will be a $5.00 per car and $20.00 per Bus/RV fee for a weekend pass.  Please respect the rules and have a great tournament.
